Job Highlights

  • Provide expert guidance on employer-sponsored healthcare benefits, including eligibility, coverage, provider navigation, and claims resolution
  • Manage complex and high-priority cases, including claim disputes, appeals, and VIP member issues
  • Support and mentor junior Advocates, offering expertise and case management guidance
  • Collaborate with Nurse Advocates and conduct external outreach to resolve member cases and support special programs
  • Educate members during Open Enrollment and on healthcare costs, plan comparisons, and benefit options using the Optavise case management system

Candidate Profile

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English with 4+ years of experience in health insurance, benefits, or a related healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery, HIPAA, PHI/PII guidelines, and relevant legislation impacting employer-based benefits
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and persuasively
  • Proven customer service and problem-solving abilities, including setting expectations and managing case resolution
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively and build rapport with members in a professional, supportive manner
