LHH Recruitment Solutions is representing a client seeking a dedicated Computer Operator to join their team. This position is crucial to our client's information technology operations, focusing on IBMi, AS400, i-series, and Poweri systems. US Citizenship is required for this role.

Position Summary:

As a Computer Operator, you'll play a vital role in our client's organization by managing various tasks related to their IT functions. Under direct supervision, you'll be responsible for maintaining printers, monitoring data transfer systems, providing backup assistance, running reports/logs, and handling other IT-related duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor IBMi, AS400, i-series, and Poweri systems.
• Experience with BRMS backup recovery system desired.
• Execute daily production jobs and distribute reports.
• Maintain accurate production and distribution logs.
• Ensure adequate printing supplies inventory.
• Keep printers stocked and maintained.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Set up and verify monthly job schedules.
• Perform monthly updates for PER/ZIP postal coding software.
• Monitor system performance and escalate errors.
• Handle statement uploads and prints.
• Backup data to DVDs and send to offsite storage.
• Transmit data to various vendors.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.
• Contribute ideas for process improvement.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of IT-related experience.
• Flexible schedule for after-hours support.
• Understanding of physical and system security.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of PDF software.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Aptitude for computer technology.

Compensation:

Targeted Salary: $26/hr to $30/hr (eligible for overtime pay)
