Sr. Cyber Security Analyst

This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Sr. Cyber Security Analyst with hands-on ZScaler experience, you will work with the existing Cyber Security Team to provide guidance, installation, implementation and support of existing and new infrastructure.
  • Will perform minor and major ruleset upgrades, as needed.
  • Develop and deliver stock and adhoc ZIA reporting, as requested.
  • Help with technical support in Change Management processes that directly impact production environment.
  • Document and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Responding to requests and incidents within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Work with Program and Project management throughout the period of performance.
  • Attend team and customer meetings.
  • Provide training to the government, and their successors, on details of the administration, maintenance, support and operational use of the solution.
  • Participates in special projects, as needed.
  • Resolve technical problems that occur and on-call support for non-business hours.
  • Report daily at the customer location (this is an onsite position).
  • Provide Weekly and on-demand Status Reports on work performed.

Required Skills:

  • Associates degree in a related STEM field or equivalent experience and at least 3 years of Cyber Security experience.
  • Must have hands on experience with Zscaler.
  • 2+ years of experience in large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a MBI/T2 level clearance.
  • Foundational networking and DNS skills.
  • Experience with routing, network forwarding, and traffic inspection.
  • ZIA, ZPA, ZDX configuration and policy setup.
  • Familiarity with log forwarding protocols (Syslog, GRE/IPSec tunnels, etc.).
  • Comfortable with static IP configuration, NAT, and subnetting.
  • Ability to work with private Service Edges, App Connectors, and ZTNA policies.
  • Exposure to firewall policies, proxy chaining, and PAC file management.
  • Application development from ZPA.
  • Okta, CyberArk, Splunk integration.
  • Troubleshooting connectivity and latency issues across distributed architectures.
  • Working knowledge of SSL inspection, VPN integration, MFA, and identity providers.
  • Familiar with ServiceNow (SNOW) for working on requests and incident tickets.

Desired Skills:

  • ZScaler or Security+ Certified.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and MS Teams.
  • Experience with MS Teams Planner, ServiceNow and/or JIRA.
  • Experience with any HHS agencies or entities.
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills and analytic abilities, as well as experience performing system security analysis and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience performing complex technical tasks with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating an understanding of systems and applications into test plans and perform hands on testing.
  • Possesses experience with communicating vulnerability results and risk posture to stakeholders.
  • Posses a broad knowledge of ZScaler best practices, policies and guidance.

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
