Diesel Shop Mechanic – Heavy-Duty Mechanic – Class 8 Truck Technician Full-Time / Atlanta, GA 30336

Diesel Shop Mechanic Responsibilities Include:

\n
• Perform repairs to heavy-duty trucks and trailers
\n
• Inform manager of completion times, parts needed, and possible changes
\n
• Minimize warranty claims and re-work
\n
• Submit work orders for invoicing
\n
• Maintain repair parts inventory and supplies
\n
• Prepare list of required replacement parts
\n
• Clean work area as required and maintain equipment, adhering to all environmental, health and safety standards
\n

Successful Diesel Shop Mechanic Candidates Will Have:

\n
• Diesel truck mechanic experience, to include: \n
  \n
  • Preventative maintenance services, brakes, suspension, clutch replacements, component replacements, and transmission repair jobs
  \n
  \n
\n
• A basic set of hand tools, and willingness to purchase tools required for the job
\n
• Technical training in heavy-duty, diesel truck mechanics
\n
• Initiative to address challenges and seek solutions
\n
• Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
\n
• Customer service orientation
\n
• Ability to safely lift heavy parts and use shop machinery
\n
