Digital Content Proofreader Intern

Christianbook is looking for a Digital Content Proofreader Intern to join the Web Marketing team. This position is a great opportunity for someone with an eye for proof reading that would like to learn the marketing communication field. This person will be proof reading for spelling, grammar, punctuation, style, content, consistency, branding, etc. This is an extremely deadline driven and fast paced position and will be supporting several different marketing teams including web marketing, email, marketing, design, and social media.

This is a temporary hourly, non-exempt position, located at the Peabody, MA office. The work schedule will be from Monday through Friday, with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. This is subject to change if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with editing and revising a variety of digital marketing channels including emails, SMS, Social Media posts, and more
• Utilize internal management tools to review tasks
• Edit content according to specifications for style, tone, and length, while also ensuring correct use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Ensure social media content meets style, formatting, and general quality standards
• Ensure review of content is completed on time
• Attend weekly departmental meetings
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Mastery of grammar/spelling/diction
• A desire to learn communication and marketing strategies
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Punctual, reliable, and professional
