We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our team for a short-term, 90-day assignment. This role will primarily focus on program labor activities within the Aero Business Unit (BU) and will report directly to the BU Controller. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem-solver ready to support our labor accounting department with critical daily activities.
Position Details
- Job Title: General Ledger Accountant
- Duration: 90-Day Short-Term Assignment
- Pay Rate: $30 – $35 per hour
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: Flexible – Remote or In-person at our Madison, MS office.
Preferred
- Familiarity with SAP and strong proficiency in Excel.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position (if required).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (if required).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.
- Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities
As the primary point of contact for program labor activities, your duties will include:
- Serving as the primary POC for all program labor accounting activities.
- Assisting with data compilation and gathering for internal and external audit requests.
- Performing monthly account reconciliations using the company ERP system.
- Maintaining accurate General Ledger (GL) vs. Subledger detail as required.
- Creating and processing Journal Entries (JEs).
- Investigating and resolving accounting anomalies and discrepancies.
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
- Taking on other special projects and initiatives as assigned.
