TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 260 Day - Full Time, 6:30am - 3:00pm, M-F



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Illinois Driver's license and ability to travel within district.
3. Ability to work in an outdoor setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for turf maintenance and landscaping related to supporting structures, including but not limited to, courtyards, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, signage and lighting, athletic fields, fences and playground areas.
2. Ability to work occasionally during non-scheduled work hours.
3. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
4. Set work priorities and work independently.
5. Meet schedules and deadlines.
6. Develop and maintain effective working relationships, work cooperatively with others
7. Maintain records related to work practices and projects.
8. Plan, organize and layout assigned tasks; perform tasks in compliance with building, health and safety standards; drive and maintain a District vehicle.
9. Perform such other appropriate duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor.

PAY AND BENEFITS

1. $18.70/hour. The District can provide additional credit to candidates who have prior work experience.
2. Full health insurance program with major medical.
3. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF Pension).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


Ability to actively perform work in classroom, office, and other business and community settings. Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day. Typically including strenuous and considerable physical exertion involving frequent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, bending, climbing stairs and lifting up to 75 lbs. Ability to work on ladders of varying heights. Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to weather conditions. Ability to travel outside the district for a variety of meetings and conferences.
