Job Description: The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department which includes organizing and filing company documents, folders, and records. Their main duties include collecting documents, developing an effective document storage and filing system and digitizing hard copies of documents as well as agency compliance.

Essential Functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

  1. Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  2. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  3. Provide general administrative and clerical assistance.
  4. Maintain filing systems.
  5. Perform data entry and scan documents.
  6. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  7. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  8. Assists with new hire orientation.
  9. Answers phone calls from customers and employees.
  10. Other projects/duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  6. Quick learner.
  7. Worked in the medical field or knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
  8. Bilingual applicants are preferred.
