HR Assistant – Elgin, IL
$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Based on Experience plus benefits

Are you ready to bring your HR expertise to a dynamic design company? We’re seeking a talented  HR Assistant to support our creative team and contribute to a thriving workplace environment. In this role, you’ll manage employee relations, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and ensure smooth HR operations.

In this role, you will wear many hats and assist with many HR functions. You will respond to employee questions on benefits, HR policies and procedures, assist with recruitment efforts, training and development, process employee changes in their HRIS system, check references, etc.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Provide support in managing employee inquiries, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive work environment
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, track leave requests, and address employee benefits questions
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures, and assist with audits and compliance-related activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, not required
  • 0-1 years of experience in an HR or administrative role
  • Ability to handle employee concerns with discretion and resolve issues effectively
  • Willingness to grow in the HR field and contribute to an evolving and creative workplace
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and maintain confidentiality
  • Friendly, approachable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
