The Human Resources Recruiter/ Generalist role combines talent acquisition expertise with core HR responsibilities to support the full employee lifecycle. This role requires a professional with a passion for identifying top talent, enhancing the employee experience, contributing to a positive workplace culture, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service aligned with Superior’s values.

Candidates must be available to work on-site, five days a week, as this is a position that requires daily in-office attendance.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (60%)

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates using various platforms and techniques.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from posting to offer negotiation.
  • Maintain and optimize applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Develop and maintain accurate position descriptions in collaboration with project managers and site supervisors.
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs, campus recruiting, and networking events.
  • Train managers in recruiting techniques and HR best practices, including compliance and documentation.
  • Track recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to leadership.
  • Travel occasionally to the central region office to support HR initiatives and field operations.

Human Resources (40%)

  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new hires.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries as needed.
  • Assist in employee relations matters and contribute to workforce development programs.
  • Contribute to performance management processes and training initiatives.
  • Help implement HR programs related to engagement, retention, and development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in recruiting and/or generalist HR roles. Previous experience in the construction industry or a related industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and ATS platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready) system experience is preferred.
  • Human Resources and/or Recruiter certification is preferred
