Job Description

American Student Assistance (ASA.org), a national non-profit organization changing the way kids learn about careers and prepare for the future, has an immediate opening on the People & Culture Team. The Internal Communication and Employee Engagement Manager will report directly to the Chief People Officer and will develop and execute the internal communications strategy for our organization to ensure operational efficiency and support senior leadership. You will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling content that engages employees, strengthens the company's culture, and keeps staff informed on business updates. You will work closely with key stakeholders-including Senior and Executive Leaders to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company's goals and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the internal communications strategy to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture including key messaging to include but not limited to: People & Culture strategies, DEIB initiatives, employee communications and business updates.
  • Implementing the internal communications strategy to include but not limited to: content for newsletters, websites, and social media.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar.
  • Maintain the company's internal communication tools, including the intranet (Inside ASA) ensuring they are up-to-date, user friendly, and aligned with the company's goals and values.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis.
  • Coordinate internal events, such as Town Halls and Lunch & Learns and other initiatives to promote employee engagement and strengthen company culture.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5-7 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field.
