Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Location: Minneola Healthcare - Minneola, KS
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Position Summary:

Minneola Healthcare is seeking a motivated and dependable IT Support Specialist to support the day-to-day technology needs of a critical access hospital. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in computers and technology, and the desire to grow within the healthcare IT field. On-the-job training and apprenticeship opportunities are available to support your development in this vital role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level technical support for hospital staff across all departments (hardware, software, printers, network access, etc.)
  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, phones, and other technology equipment
  • Support clinical systems, including Electronic Health Record (EHR), imaging systems (PACS), and telehealth applications
  • Help maintain secure network access, user accounts, email systems, and equipment inventory
  • Monitor system performance and report issues to senior IT support or vendors
  • Assist with implementing software updates and cybersecurity protocols in compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
  • Participate in IT-related projects, training, and process improvements
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED required
  • Willingness to complete an on-the-job training program and/or participate in a formal IT apprenticeship through an educational institution
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, software, and troubleshooting
  • Strong interest in learning about healthcare technology systems
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and professional
Preferred (Not Required):
  • Experience working in IT, help desk, or technical support (healthcare or other industry)
  • Basic certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or Microsoft Fundamentals
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time, on-site position
  • May include some after-hours or on-call support for critical systems
