Patient Care Coordinator (Healthcare / Clinical Office) Location: San Antonio Onsite - Clinical Office Setting Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to serve as the frontline connection between patients, providers, and clinical operations. As a PCC, you will play a critical role in ensuring patients feel informed, supported, and cared for-while maintaining accurate documentation, smooth scheduling, and compliant billing and insurance processes. What You'll Be Responsible For Patient Experience & Intake Welcome patients and create a professional, empathetic first impression Verify and update demographics, insurance, and identification Ensure all patient forms and documents are scanned and uploaded accurately and in real time Scheduling & Care Coordination Schedule new and follow-up appointments in compliance with insurance requirements Communicate appointment expectations, arrival times, and policies Confirm appointments and ensure follow-ups are scheduled when appropriate Insurance, Referrals & Authorizations Verify insurance eligibility and policyholder information Obtain, document, and track referrals and authorizations Maintain complete and accurate patient records Billing & Financial Documentation Collect payments and document transactions accurately Create invoices and process clinician SuperBills Upload payment documentation and maintain daily financial reporting Documentation & Quality Control Maintain complete, HIPAA-compliant patient charts Scan and upload referrals, test results, and third-party documentation Double-check all records for accuracy and completeness Office & Team Support Manage incoming mail, faxes, and voicemail Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative staff Support smooth day-to-day clinic operations What We're Looking For Experience in healthcare administration, patient coordination, or medical front office roles Strong communication skills with a calm, patient-focused demeanor High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment Proficiency with healthcare systems and office software Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Associate or bachelor's degree preferred Why This Role Matters This position is essential to delivering high-quality patient care.
