Position Overview:

Maintains and enhances pharmacy information systems. Collaborates with Information Systems Support Analysts to plan, develop, implement, maintain and use Pharmacy related systems. Responsible for education to pharmacy and nursing department with information Systems. In charge of running QA data report for pharmacy and nursing department. May also act as a Pharmacy Technician to provide timely and accurate pharmaceutical care, including procurement, storage, preparation and distribution of medications and IV solutions.

Job Description :

EDUCATION

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

• PHARMC-Certified Pharmacy Technician
• OR PHRMTECHR-Registered Pharmacy Technician

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of recent experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Must demonstrate analytical skills in gathering information, defining and identifying problems, and resolving problems.
• Must be specialized in Pharmacy Informatics System including but not limited to EPIC, Pyxis machine, Guardrails software, Alaris pump system, etc.
• Must be able to communicate in writing and follow written instructions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, generic and trade pharmaceutical names, pharmaceutical calculations and laws and regulations. Knowledge and understanding of different Pharmacy practice settings, including narcotic delivery procedures.
• Knowledge and ability to identify and employ pharmaceutical and medical terms, abbreviations and symbols commonly used in prescribing, dispensing, and record keeping of medications.

Pay Range is $30.28 to $37.83 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
