Job Description

Sr. Project Manager

6 month contract , potential for extension

100% Remote

Rate: $40/hr

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)?

• Manage detailed project schedule for 10 workstreams and partner with State resources as needed to maintain integrated schedule

• Setting up/maintaining predecessor and successor task and milestones in the schedule

• Ensure project schedule passes all Federal checks (standards) and submitting weekly

• Resource leveling the project schedule

• Calculating CPI, SPI, BEI

• Manage project contract deliverables and artifacts tracking and submission to State repository

• Provide overall project management support including risk/issue mangement to ensure on time delivery

• Lead/attend ~25 standing meetings each week; additional meetings scheduled as needed.

What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)?

• 5+ years of Microsoft Project experience - working with multiple project schedules

• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience

• 3+ years of working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle

• 2+ years experience with enterprise data warehouse solutions

• 2+ years experience working with State Governments

• PMP certification

• PMI Project Scheduler certification

What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)?

• Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) session

• Healthcare Information Exchange, EDI, Healthcare Industry experience

• Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)

• Proficiency with MS Visio

Work hours (ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc)?

• 8am - 5pm aligned with Central or Pacific Time

Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiative which describes what's being done?

•The role is for a Sr Project Manager II (Master Scheduler) on the HI HAP/EDW DDI project. The project at a critical stage with delivery of remaining deliverables, transition into M&O, and continuation of the customer relationship.

What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background, etc.)? We want to be as specific as possible with our firms so they can find the type of candidate you're looking for.

What does the team structure look like - how many members and what is the break-down of the team's skill sets (ex: 1 PM, 4 Developers, etc.)?

•This position will be reporting to the hiring manager and taking work direction from the Account Manager and Sr Project Manager on the project. In addition, individual will collaborate with approximately 10 workstreams in a matrixed organization structure.
