Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed to meet project and operational demands.
• Respond to customer and supplier inquiries regarding order status, changes, and cancellations.
• Schedule and expedite deliveries; resolve issues related to shortages, missed, or late shipments.
• Review requisitions to verify accuracy, specifications, and compliance with company standards.
• Track and manage the status of all purchase orders from initiation to delivery.
• Confirm shipments upon arrival to ensure accuracy and that materials meet required specifications.
• Compare invoices with purchase orders and quotations to verify pricing and terms before approving for payment.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance; recommend adjustments or alternative sources as needed.
• Analyze bids to determine the best value based on price, delivery time, and quality.
• Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
• Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software/systems is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
