We are seeking a licensed senior geologist/engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our team of site assessment and remediation experts in the Seattle or Vancouver, WA office. The team works to serve our existing client base in the industrial, private development, and government sectors. This role will perform technical assignments with limited supervision for the characterization and evaluation of potentially contaminated properties and permit compliance. The position will direct routine field and office activities. Typical projects include multi-media site investigations (including soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air, and stormwater), and the associated documentation, analysis, and reporting efforts.
Responsibilities:
Manage projects related to site assessment/remediation, hydrogeology, stormwater compliance, and environmental risk assessment services. Prepare technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates, and manage project budgets. Interface with clients, internal staff, subcontractors, and regulators to ensure project goals are accomplished in a timely manner. Review and evaluate complex data sets generated from multi-media environmental sampling. Project remediation systems include vapor intrusion mitigation systems and other soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation systems. Collaborate with project team and mentor and train junior staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited university in geology, hydrogeology, or civil/environmental engineering or other related science. 6+ years of related experience in environmental consulting. Washington state licensure as LG or PE. Advanced knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Word). Strong organization and time management skills. Excellent writing and analytical skills. Valid Washington state driver's license.
Preferred qualifications:
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current 8-hour refresher. Washington state UST assessor license.
The pay range for this Washington position is $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
