Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is looking for experienced MIG Welders to join our Fabrication Shop in High Point, NC. In this role you will work both independently and on a team with minimal supervision.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

• 1st shift: 6:00am-4:30pm
• 2nd shift: 4:00pm-2:30pm

LOCATION:

• High Point Manufacturing Facility

STRUCTURAL WELDER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience welding structural steel members using (MIG) wirefeed processes
• Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
• Understand and follow proper safety instructions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experienced in 3G and 4G position welding
• Other duties may be added as needed by supervision

EDUCATION:

This Position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS:

Specific Structural Welding Skills:

• Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8“ material
• Good verbal communication skills with other employees
• Positive attitude
• Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement
• Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
• Ability to read blueprints

Specific Physical Skills:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessary
• Ability to step over and work on top of fixture that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
