Job Summary These limited-term/substitute assignments are available to individuals participating in the San Dieguito Union High School District's School Bus Driver Training Program.
Van Driver: Under the supervision of the Transportation Operations Supervisor, drive vans or cars to transport students safely and efficiently to an assigned location on a designated route; provide safe and secure transportation for students who may have physical, medical, educational and emotional needs; load, unload and secure special needs students; perform regular daily safety inspections and regular cleaning of vehicles.
School Bus Attendant: Under the direction of the Transportation Operations Supervisor, the job of School Bus Attendant is assisting a bus driver in the loading, unloading, care and supervision of special education students.
Requirements / Qualifications Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check, fingerprinting, physical exam including tuberculosis, drug and alcohol screening, and an Oath of Allegiance. The District contracts with a designated provider to schedule the physical exam; physicals for all employees are paid by the District. At this time, the District will reimburse individuals who complete the onboarding process to work as a Van Driver or School Bus Attendant for the cost involved in obtaining a fingerprint clearance once all clearances are received.
