Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical collection processes.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
• Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
• Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry.
• Provide information to clients about pet care, medications, and follow-up procedures.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized and stocked with necessary supplies.

Skills

• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with pet grooming is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Understanding of animal husbandry principles is preferred.
• Previous experience in a kennel or veterinary setting is desirable but not required.
