S&G Carpet is looking to hire one Warehouse Associate and for its West Sacramento warehouse!

Warehouse Associate – FULL TIME, 5 DAYS A WEEK

Hours needed available: Shifts are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday work required once training has been completed. No swing shift, no graveyard shift.

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for providing shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties in a friendly, safe and efficient manner. Warehouse personnel have a keen eye for safety and are detail oriented.

General Duties:

• Perform shipping and receiving duties including packing and palletizing.
• Prepares documentation for shipping and receiving of products and inventory.
• Efficiently load installer jobs.
• Communicates any damage to manager before accepting shipment.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments and compare with purchase orders to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
• Receive and properly store incoming shipments.
• Maintains shipping records, including providing tracking or shipment history information upon request.
• Safely and accurately cut carpet, vinyl, foam etc. for customers.
• Prepare and assemble floor covering samples for distribution throughout Company showrooms
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required. (Must be 18 or older)
• Must be able to work Saturdays once training is complete.
• Ability to be forklift certified (S&G will certify you).
• Excellent communication (verbally and written) with all levels of the organization and able to build effective relationships with others.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and follow-through skills.
• Able to perform physical tasks such as standing during your shift, climbing up and down forklifts, handling pallet jacks, and occasionally lifting up for 60 lbs.
