CONTROLLER
Canonsburg, PA
$90,000- $120,000

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities within the company. This includes managing accounting staff, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and developing strategic financial plans to support our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing finance and a proven track record of leading financial teams.

OVERVIEW OF THE CONTROLLER ROLE:

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CONTROLLER:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA preferred.
• Proven working experience as a Controller in the manufacturing industry.
• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
