Copywriter Intern
Location - Hybrid (Cashton Office Building 3 days per week, Remote 2 days per week)

Summary of Role The copywriter will collaborate with the Creative and Public Relations teams to develop content that will be used in various outlets, namely the co-op blog, website, in-store messaging and more. Our priority is to share stories through written and visual content about Organic Valley's mission to save small organic family farms. We are looking for a talented storyteller to join us in doing so.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities o Write and edit content for consumer-facing outlets, including the co-op blog, social channels and more.
o Ideate articles.
o Help secure images to complement articles.
o Proofread material.
o Audit existing blog posts for accuracy and grammar.
o Curating user-generated content for social reposting.
o Bringing new ideas and positive energy.
o Analyzing and evaluating content effectiveness.
o Assisting with special projects.
o Maintaining deadlines.
o Bringing your creativity to the table!
Additional Duties and Responsibilities o Present summary of work completed and impact on department to senior leadership.
o Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities o Currently enrolled in post-secondary education working toward a bachelor's degree in communications or journalism within one year or less from graduation required.
o Passionate storyteller with a desire to spread the word about Organic Valley, the organic industry, farmers and protecting our food system.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
o Course work in copywriting.
o Competent in AP Style.
o Knowledge of SEO.
o Ability to prioritize workload and responsibilities effectively.
o Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
o Strong organizational and time management skills.
o Genuine interest in our mission to support small organic family farms.
Internship Program Overview o Furnished housing provided in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin.
o Program concludes after 12 weeks (first week of June start date).
o Engaging and project-based experiences with a leading organic food brand.
o Experience our mission first-hand on an Organic Valley farm tour.
o Understand the impact and importance of your role through a specially designed New Hire Orientation course.
o Network and learn from our business leaders in a "Learn The Co-op Series".
o Various intern group events held throughout the summer.
o Interns are paid hourly for time worked.
o Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work.
Base hourly wage: $18.00 per hour
