Job Description
Platinum Advisors San Francisco is seeking a highly motivated self-starter for a part-time paid internship. Ideally, this internship would help supplement ongoing undergraduate or graduate studies. It will be a hands-on experience to learn about, shadow, and gain practical experience tailored to the intern's interests and experience.
The Intern may be responsible for:
•Preparing press clips, agendas, and materials for the daily use of staff.
•Tracking legislative issues, providing hearing summaries and analysis.
•Assisting in the coordination of special events and meeting logistics.
•Researching issues and providing analysis.
•Other special projects.
Our hope is to assist individuals interested in pursuing careers in public relations, politics, or government relations. Interns will be given opportunities to develop their communications skills, understand the concepts from their classes and past work experience, and improve their professional and political literacy. This is a unique experience that will not be focused on administrative tasks - the individual will be asked to contribute. These contributions may include researching client issues, preparing materials for client meetings, providing summaries and analysis of hearings, etc.
Requirements
Qualifications •Demonstrable analytical abilities and strong attention to detail.
•Strong political insight and experience with contemporary political issues.
•Ability to collaborate and influence others in a close co-working professional environment.
•Excellent written, verbal, oratory communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate program plans, proposals, and research.
•Experience in political campaigning, government relations, or public relations for a total of at least one year.

Compensation Hourly: $20-$25/hr. (Depending on Experience)
