Alta Contracting is looking for field employees to join their soft demo crew.

About Us: Alta Services (dba Alta Contracting) is a full-service demolition contractor providing commercial and industrial demolition services. With over 20 years in the construction industry, Alta is well-versed in all phases of commercial interior and exterior demolition.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Grade Checking: Utilize surveying equipment to check and maintain accurate grades on demolition sites. Work closely with the project team to ensure that grade requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of installed pipes. Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in safety meetings and training programs as required.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Provide regular updates on project progress and challenges.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Grade Checker in the demolition or construction industry.
• Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Must have reliable transportation
• This job requires constant walking, standing, and physically lifting debris; must be able to lift more than 50 pounds
• Must be open to working days, nights & weekends if needed
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently
• Must be open to working with others
• Must be able to legally work in the US.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
