Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America's first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table. We are America's first and only producer of certified organic sugar, grown and harvested in the United States. Our renewable energy facility is the largest of its kind in North America and provides clean energy that powers our sugar operations, which helps us reduce our use of fossil fuels. Florida Crystals also sustainably farms rice, sweet corn and other vegetables in rotation with our sugarcane. Our rice mill is the only rice mill in Florida.
OVERVIEW
The Harvesting tractor driver is responsible for transporting sugarcane from field to conveyor ramp site. Employee will be working in close proximity to canals, trucks, heavy equipment, and people. Position involves being focused and attentive for long hours. Safe work practices and the ability to work in a multicultural environment is required.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ability to be reliable, on time, and ready for work.
* Must show ability to operate tractors pulling loaded wagons.
* Must safely load wagons alongside Harvesters, approach, and go over ramp to allow wagons to be dumped.
* Must maneuverer tractor to and from the field safely with other traffic.
* Must follow all Safety guidelines and properly use personal protective equipment.
WORK EXPERIENCES
* Previous tractor driving experience preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
* Some ability to read and write.
* Some ability to communicate in English.
