The Loan Officer Assistant supports the daily processing of loans, working closely with Loan Officers, Processors, Underwriters, and customers to complete required mortgage documentation in accordance with regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble loan documentation for verifications and underwriting, including loan files, packages, credit reports, and application paperwork.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, scheduling and conducting follow-up meetings.
  • Provide administrative support such as screening calls and booking appointments.
  • Handle customer and in-house inquiries to ensure a smooth transaction process.
  • Review loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculations, and report issues to the loan originator.
  • Communicate with the Loan Processor and Closing Department to track loan status.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination programs, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, make good decisions, and work efficiently under deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and successful background check required.
  • Preferred: Experience in residential mortgage lending.
