Your Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, ensuring adherence to applicable standards of practice.
• Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments as part of the care plan.
• Document patient care and monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions effectively.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including transfers and discharges.
• Evaluate and address the learning needs of patients and families, providing tailored education.
• Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of your patients.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and other assigned projects.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Required Skills:

• Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to handle stressful situations with composure.

Certifications:

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
• NRP within 3 months of hire.
• STABLE within 6 months of hire.

Licenses:

Current and active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee or a compact license with the required forms filed within 30 days.
