To meet the needs of the region and provide seamless, high quality, comprehensive surgical care, we are seeking a BC/BE Acute Care Trauma Surgeon with responsibilities to provide trauma, emergency general surgery coverage at UHS Wilson Medical Center a Level 2 Trauma Center. The chosen candidate will work in a high-volume general/trauma surgical practice.
LOCATION: Binghamton, NY is located 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour from Syracuse, NY. A progressive college community town that offers a large healthcare presence, a safe living environment, and a diverse community with nearby lakes, ski resorts, golf courses, wineries, a symphony orchestra and an opera company.
The position includes a competitive starting salary of $480,000 to $600,000 with bonus incentives, a sign on bonus, moving expenses, and a vast array of employment benefits including malpractice insurance and tail coverage.
Formed in 1981 through the consolidation of three community hospitals, United Health Services Hospitals employs more than 6,000 people. As a teaching hospital, affiliated with the SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY and the Binghamton University Health Sciences Center, United Health Services Hospitals trains over 100 physicians per year in residency and fellowship programs.
