We are looking for a dependable and experienced Truck Driver to join our excavation team. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and equipment to and from various job sites. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, experience in hauling heavy loads, and a commitment to safety and timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company trucks to haul materials, equipment, and debris to and from construction sites
  • Transport excavation materials, such as dirt, gravel, sand, and rock, to designated locations
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure loads for safe transport
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure trucks are in good working condition
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, and local driving regulations and company safety policies
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, foremen, and dispatch to ensure timely deliveries
  • Complete and maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage logs, delivery times, and fuel usage
  • Assist with on-site tasks when not driving, including general labor duties if needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • 2+ years of truck driving experience, preferably in construction or excavation
  • Experience operating dump trucks, flatbeds, or other heavy haul trucks
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for transporting heavy loads
  • Ability to operate equipment for loading and unloading materials (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of proper load securing methods
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and on rough terrain
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent
