The Weequahic High School Alumni Association is pleased to announce that we have awarded 24 graduates with scholarships of $2,200 each to continue their education.

In addition, during the 2022-2023 school year, we purchased a new washer and dryer for the school; paid for overnight lodgings for the boys track team to compete in the Penn Relays; and, we got a commitment from Newark Public Schools to provide the rest of the money needed to restore the murals in the front foyer of the building.

Finally, for those who purchased bricks, we anticipate they will be installed this summer!
