Job Description
We are seeking reliable and experienced VA Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individuals will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Full Time position are available immediately. The pay rate for these positions is $18.00 to $19 per hour.
The available positions are:
Norfolk: Position 1: ($18/hr, 42hrs/week)Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays: 6pm-6am
Wednesdays: 6pm-11:59pm
Position 2: ($18/hr, 32hrs/week)
Wednesdays & Thursdays: 10pm-6am
Saturdays & Sundays: 9pm-3am
Position 3: ($19/hr, 40hrs/week)
(Expensive Military, Law Enforcement, or Security Experience Required) Tuesdays - Saturdays: 6am - 2pm
Position 4: ($19/hr, 40hrs/week)
(Expensive Military, Law Enforcement, or Security Experience Required) Mondays: 6am - 2pm, Tuesdays: 7am - 3pm, Wednesdays: 3pm - 11pm, Thursdays: 4pm - 12:30am, and Sundays: 12pm - 8pm
Position 5: ($18/hr, 32hrs/week)
Wednesdays & Thursdays: 10pm-6am
Saturdays & Sundays: 8am-4pm
Virginia Beach, VA: Position 1: Monday-Friday: 6:30am-3:30pm ($19/hr, 40hrs/week)
(Expensive Military, Law Enforcement, or Security Experience Required) Position 2: Monday-Friday: 7:30am-4:30pm ($19/hr, 40hrs/week)
(Expensive Military, Law Enforcement, or Security Experience Required) Hampton, VA:
Position 1: ($18/hr, 36hrs/week)Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 3pm - 1am
Saturdays & Sundays: 6am - 2pm
Newport News, VA: Position 1: ($18/hr, 30hrs/week)Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays: 3pm - 1am
Position 2: ($18/hr, 30hrs/week)
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: 5am - 3pm
Responsibilities: Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
Request emergency personnel for high risk situations
Qualifications:
Must have a current and valid armed VA DCJS license. (MUST HOLD A VIRGINIA STATE DCJS ARMED LICENSE)
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields
Familiarity with security equipment
Ability to handle physical workload
Strong attention to detail
