We are seeking a CAD Drafter to join our team! The CAD Drafter will work on multiple projects using CAD 3D modeling equipment. Projects include tradeshows, events, permanent installations, and all kinds of experiential work. Using AutoCAD your will be supporting various projects by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams based on client, sales, and production specifications. Working with project teams to provide all views and dimensions necessary for manufacturing including engineering details/solutions, specific materials, hardware, and building techniques.

Responsibilities :

• Uses computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.
• Creates and revises production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
• Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used, the relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to the whole structure or project, with a specific focus on eco-friendly materials and practices.
• Precisely dimensions drawings as necessary, calling out build dimensions and any other construction details.
• Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
• Draft detailed multi-view drawings.
• Draws finished designs from sketches.

Competencies :

• Highly proficient in CAD 3D modeling equipment/software
• Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology.
• A firm understanding of construction building techniques and methods, along with great visualization skills, the ability to provide value engineering solutions
• Strong project management skills in order to handle multiple projects with short turnaround times
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail in all aspects of the position
• Flexibility in scheduling--the ability to work long hours as needed during our busy season
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Team player that can take initiative.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one-year related industry experience and/or training in a closely related field such as custom cabinetry/furniture building, retail environment layouts, and retail fixture creation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
