Our client In the Medical industry is seeking a Machinist II to join their team. As a Machinist II, you will be part of the Machine Shop supporting the production of high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist II

Location: Oak Harbor, WA

Pay Range: $20-$22.00/ hour DOE 

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce parts to design specifications
• Use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment to monitor and ensure quality of production parts
• Interpret engineering drawings and employ knowledge of GD&T to ensure quality during the manufacturing process
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines as required
• Actively seek opportunities to reduce machining inefficiencies and production cycle times

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Education in math (Trig and Geometry)
• Metalworking
• Blueprint reading
• Metrology
• General machining principles obtained through community college, technical school, or previous work experience
• Ability to make minor changes, as well as write and prove programs for basic parts from drawings using G&M codes
• Ability to grind tools
• Emotional stability to accept constructive criticism and the need to possibly redo work until it is correct
