Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This analyst role is a part of the Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) pillar of our client's global Information Security program. The GRC pillar is a crucial component to our client's security capabilities and is focused on overseeing our client's cybersecurity framework, strategic alignment to business objectives, control implementation & risk mitigation, third-party risk management, information protection & governance strategies, and Cyber Safety awareness. This role provides an opportunity to influence our ongoing global security strategy and roadmap.
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and principles.
- Manage and improve data quality across the organization.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to establish and enforce data governance procedures.
- Ensure data governance initiatives align with compliance regulations and business requirements.
- Develop strategies to address data-related issues such as arbitrating data ownership.
- Monitor and report on the performance of data-related processes and compliance.
- Conduct regular updates to meet regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Contribute to training and awareness programs to boost data governance understanding across the organization.
- Maintain a company-wide data dictionary and data lineage artifacts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on GRC and data analysis.
- Work with various departments to understand their needs related to GRC data and provide recommendations to meet those needs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain GRC data governance processes.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in GRC technology.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of three to five years of IT or information security experience, with at least one year of security-related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance.
- CMMC, SOX, ISO27001 experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Visio.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, various security software applications and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Impeccable confidentiality, attention to detail, and self-organization.
- Self-directed and motivated with a positive and willing attitude.
- Knowledge of GRC software applications is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
