Join the JC Resorts team at La Casa del Zorro today as a Cook 2! The Cook 2's
ESSENTIAL PURPOSE at La Casa Del Zorro istoprepare food for the restaurant and special events, meeting company standards of production quality and quantity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES , include but may not be limited to:
• To follow all recipes and/or specifications to properly and efficiently prepare and present all food items to be served, including accommodating special guest requests.
•To read and organize BEO items and order tickets, as directed, to prepare food.
•To taste and monitor presentation of all food served to guest, and ensure that appearance and quality are consistently maintained.
•To ensure that proper portions of all items are served while maintaining culinary standards.
•To take daily inventory of all items in station to ensure appropriate levels are available.
•To utilize FIFO to minimize waste and spoilage.
•To maintain internal cleanliness of work stations, walk-in and freezer.
•To communicate all guest requests to an appropriate supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
•To follow all policies and procedures of JC Resorts LLC.
•To report to management all necessary equipment repairs for the safety of all personnel and the kitchen.
JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION LEVEL : Able to understand basic English and follow simple verbal directions. Must have basic knowledge of production and operations in all relevant kitchen areas. Must be familiar with proper use and maintenance of relevant kitchen equipment and machinery. Kitchen experience and/or professional culinary certification or degree preferred. A minimum of 1 year of culinary experience within restaurants or food service is required. A valid and current Food Handler's Card as required by local governance.
SKILLS AND APTITUDES : Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Quick learner. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service. Courteous and friendly manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT : Works both in and out-of-doors, depending on service needs. Frequently works behind hot range. Makes occasional short trips to walk-in freezer and refrigerator. Kitchen may be moist, odorous, and warm from cooking foods. Kitchen floor is uneven, and may be slippery from moisture and grease. Business levels may require fast work pace. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
