Job Description
Custom Concrete is looking for a hardworking, dedicated person to join our team as a Safety Manager .
The Safety Manager is responsible ensuring compliance with federal and state safety and health regulations. As a Safety Manager, you will work side by side with the Corporate Safety Director implementing best practices and company policies.
Essential Functions
Work closely with all divisions of the organization for accountability to the safety program.
Work closely with the Corporate Safety Director on strategies to improve safety across the organization
Promote safety awareness through meetings and training of all divisions within the organization.
Provide accessible safety resources and support to all personnel.
Identify hazards and develop/carry out mitigation tactics.
Understand and comply with federal and state occupational safety and health regulations and monitors regulatory changes as they occur.
Have advanced knowledge and understanding of general construction.
Conducting audits, safety training, and ensuring compliance with laws.
Investigating accidents and promoting near miss reporting.
Monitoring legislative compliance through workplace inspections.
Preparing reports on HSE matters, including risk assessment findings.
Managing OSHA compliance efforts, including OSHA 300 logs, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fire Prevention, and Lift truck Operation.
Ability to operate a smartphone and tablet and generate appropriate reports using a computer.
Work in any type of weather.
Climb in and out of basement excavations.
Perform tasks in wet and muddy conditions.
Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Required Education and Experience
Valid Driver’s License (must meet the requirements of the Custom Concrete Driver’s Program)
High school diploma or GED equivalent
7-10 years in a safety position in a construction industry
Preferred Education and Experience
OSHA 500,510, OR 502
CHST, CSP- Preferred but not required

BCSP Certified
OSHA Certified
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
